The Garage Restaurant Review
Ready for a bar review? I ate here a couple of times while watching Jaguars away games. It’s one of the viewing places for the Bold City Brigade, you should check them out, they are a great group of fans.

Kid Friendly: It’s a bar, but we are in Duval, so who knows
Food: If you’ve ever been down Post St. I’m sure you’ve passed by it. It’s an awesome spot right on the corner. Being that it is a Pub/Bar, it keeps the food simple and I can respect that. Not everyone can do what Kickbacks does. When you see their menu, you will see what I’m talking about. The good thing about it, what they do offer, is damn good.
The first sandwich pictured is the Garage Steak Philly $8.92 (Menu Description: steak, caramelized onions, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, garage sauce, garlic spread, bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese serve don a hoagie roll and pressed on our Garage Grill. With pickles, Garage sauce and chips.) Pretty impressive description huh? The actual item fit the description, it was great. The meat wasn’t over cooked and the veggies were all fresh and had a little crispness left in them after being cooked on the “Garage Grill”. The hoagie was nice and soft, spread was good too. The key thing is the “Garage Sauce”. I honestly couldn’t tell you what was in it but hot damn, I want a jar of it. I dipped my chips it, perfect. I would suggest maybe ordering an extra one since the container is a tad small. I forgot to on my second trip there when I got this next sandwich.
My second sandwich (on my next visit) was the Garage Pork Philly for $8.93 (Menu Description: pork, caramelized onions, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, garage sauce, garlic spread, bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese serve don a hoagie roll and pressed on our Garage Grill. With pickles, Garage sauce and chips.) It was pretty much the same thing except it was pork this time. All the freshness of veggies and the hoagie were the same. So, I think it’s fair to say that they know what they are doing when it comes to making a Philly.
– Good bar good
– Good value/portions
– Lots of seating options, two separate bars and outside seating
– Not an over the top selection of beer
– Typical of every restaurant in that area, not a lot of parking around.
