Ok, first off, as if you didn’t know already, I’m an idiot. For the longest time, I’ve been mispronouncing “Pho“. Click on it, it will erase any doubt on how to say it and not sound like I did.

Food: I really went in with absolutely no idea of what I wanted to eat. All I knew was that everyone said this place was awesome. When I would ask for a suggestion, I would hear 10 different things that I should eat. So, I figured I would just gamble and pick something at random. I ordered the Rice Vermicelli Special Combination $10.95 (Menu Description: Pork, fried egg rolls, grilled shrimp and pork paste). As you can see, the bowl IS HUGE! They should call this “everything but the kitchen sink”. I mean that in a good way.
First off, let me tell you that everything was super fresh. All the vegetables were crisp and plentiful. The egg rolls were on the skinny side but they were very tasty and hot. The grilled shrimp was slightly, just slightly, over cooked. They were just on the rubbery side. The pork was cooked perfectly and not fatty. I was a little worried about that when I saw it, but I worried for nothing. If you look at the pictures, you will see a bowl of what looks like soup. Here is where I prove further that I’m an idiot, it’s not! It’s a sauce I think. Don’t try to drink any LOL. I dipped a couple of things in it, but I didn’t love it. I liked the meal the way it was, nothing added but a little Soy.
Extras: My only suggestion is maybe ask a friend who is a little more familiar with this type of dining experience to come with you, if you’ve never been there. They can help you navigate and get the most out of your meal. I will be calling on my friend Mary the next time I go, she knows way more about food then I do. Maybe I can talk her into doing a guest blog? I do highly recommend Bowl of Pho though, everything was tasty and fresh and the servings were HUGE.
The Good:
– Huge Servings
– Fresh
– Super Clean Dining Area
– Fast
The Bad:
– I was a little overwhelmed with the menu, but that’s just me and my lack of knowledge with Vietnamese dining.
