Sweet CeCe’s Frozen Yogurt & Treats Restaurant Review

Sweet CeCe’s Frozen Yogurt & Treats Restaurant Review

Get on board the frozen yogurt craze! It’s back (I remember TCBY when I was a kid) and it’s a much better option than ice cream (check how can you make delicious ice creams at home with these best ice cream makers). Sure, there are lots of options out there if you want frozen yogurt. I can think of about 5 different places just off the top of my head. But to me, it seems like they all look the same.

You go in, the walls are white, the modern IKEA type furniture is white or orange for some reason, and it’s all very sterile looking. You almost feel like you are eating yogurt in a doctor’s exam room. If you watch the video, you will see Sweet CeCe’s is nothing like that. It is very contemporary looking and more inviting. This, along with their toppings, sets them above everyone else out there. Check out the video and then my review after the break.

3267 Hodges Blvd Suite 2
Jacksonville, Florida 32224

Location: This is a little hard to find because it’s not really visible from the main roads. It is in the shopping center in the Target parking lot located on the corner of Beach Blvd & Hodges Blvd. It’s located in the same strip as Five Guys.

Food: They have some great flavors to try. I had the Thin Mint flavored yogurt. I don’t know if it is related to the Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies (probably not) but it tasted like it was. So if you like that flavor, you should try it here. They offer free samples if you aren’t quiet sure which flavor you want, so don’t be afraid to try a couple. Now, the thing that helps set this place above the other frozen yogurt places is that they have way more toppings.

They have the traditional walk up bar that has the fresh fruit, some cheesecakes, cookie dough and other stuff but they also have another area that has even MORE candy, cereals and other delicious toppings. My son likes this place because he can access these and also help pick them out. It makes his experience all that more enjoyable because he feels involved.

This extra area is pretty neat because it’s located in what appears to be a hollowed out grain silo. Pretty neat. Once you squirt out (sounds vulgar but I can’t think of any other way to put it) your frozen yogurt and add your toppings, you just head over to the cash register and they weigh your delicious assembly, you pay by weight. I have been here two times and enjoyed the yogurt and the staff is very helpful.

Extra Info: Besides my son liking the fact that he can add stuff himself because the dispensers are on his level, I like the place because it has a more comfortable feel to me. The floors are stained concrete, the tables are modern, there is a giant flat screen on the wall and they even have a couple couches to sit in too. Oh, and there is outside seating if you want to people watch and make fun of people :) Definitely try this place out!

The Good
